Visualize Biomolecular structures with Mol*: From Atoms to Movies
Tuesday, February 13 | 1:00 PM ET
Watch the video recording and access the course materials on PDB-101.
Learning Objectives
- Visualize 3D structural data from
- experimentally determined structures (from RCSB.org)
- computed structure models (from RCSB.org or other sources such as AlphaFold)
- Select all or parts of the 3D structure to
- display it in different representations, colors, and more
- analyze interactions
- measure distances and angles within and between proteins, nucleic acids, and other molecules
- Map information to available structures e.g.,
- functional features
- mutations
- Superimpose structures of
- same protein in different conformations
- similar proteins to compare features
- Export publication quality images and animations for videos
Who Should Attend?
Professionals, researchers, educators, and students interested in interactively exploring 3D structural data to understand its functions in
- Bioinformatics
- Biology
- Cheminformatics and computational chemistry or biology
- Chemistry
- Structural biology
